Sprints

Sprints are time-boxed periods (typically 1-2 weeks) where your team commits to completing a set of issues. SprintFlint helps you plan, track, and deliver sprints on time.

Sprint Lifecycle

Every sprint goes through three stages:

Velocity Tracking

Velocity is the number of story points your team completes per sprint. SprintFlint automatically tracks velocity and alerts you when a sprint is off track.

Deviation Alerts

SprintFlint monitors your sprint progress and sends alerts when:

These alerts are sent to the sprint lead and project manager, helping you take corrective action early.

Activating a Sprint

When you're ready to start working:

  1. Ensure all issues are added and estimated
  2. Click "Activate Sprint"
  3. The sprint status changes to "Active"

Auto-Activation - A sprint automatically activates when you move any issue to "In Progress" status.

Completing a Sprint

At the end of the sprint period:

  1. Review completed vs incomplete issues
  2. Click "Complete Sprint"
  3. Optionally move incomplete issues to the next sprint

Moving Incomplete Issues

When completing a sprint with unfinished work, you can automatically move incomplete issues to the next sprint. This helps maintain continuity without manual effort.
